He began a $5 Spin & Go at 12:30 a.m. Moscow time and by 12:35 a.m. he’d locked up a seven-figure payday.
The runner up, Greece’s partalios, earned $100,000 while the third place finisher was Russian shooLarr who also took down $100,000 for his efforts.

The PokerStars Makes Millionaires promotion started on March 27 and is still ongoing with $5 Spin & Go players getting a shot at randomly winning $1 million.
Interestingly the first-ever $1m Spin & Go winner was also from Russia as sss666666 won $1 million on the site back in January although that Spin & Go took quite a bit longer to play out at 13 minutes.
The PokerStars Makes Millionaires promo actually includes a few different ways to win $1m.
First off the site is running freerolls into the EPT Grand Final where first place is guaranteed to be at least €1 million.
PokerStars also has special Challenges throughout April where winners get a seat into a special $1 million freeroll. The Challenges have certain conditions such as “win a real-money hand with pocket fives.”
Finally PokerStars is offering freerolls into the Spring Championship of Online Poker Main Event (High) where the winner is guaranteed at least $1 million.
