Is 2015 the year of Viktor “Isildur1” Blom?
It certainly looks that way right now as the Swedish poker prodigy passed the $4.5m mark on PokerStars earlier this week.
Isildur1 shows absolutely no signs of slowing down and now finds himself the biggest winner in online poker by a margin of $3.5m, according to highstakesdb.com.
Isildur1 Eyes All-Time Records
Isildur1 has been so dominant lately that he’s been the biggest winner on PokerStars five out of the last seven days.
He recorded significant wins against JayP-AA, BB1985 and thecortster over the last week.
The fact that Isildur1 has accumulated $4.5m in profit on PokerStars is exceptional for several reasons.
If Isildur1 were to quit today it would be the single biggest winning year in his storied online poker career.
It would also be the fourth biggest yearly profit on a single online poker site ever recorded.
No one has come close to these kinds of numbers since Dan Cates won $5.5m in 2010 and Gus Hansen ran up $3.9m in early 2011.
Both runs were prior to online poker’s devastating Black Friday in spring of 2011.
Patrik Antonius still has the biggest single year of profit on record, which is likely to never be eclipsed. He ran up a staggering $8.9m in 2009.
